The Outside Office has experience in typing general dictation (e.g. letters), interviews, recorded events such as seminars, lectures, and AGMs.  The Outside Office specialises in medical typing, with over 10 years of experience, servicing a number of different specialities.

The Outside Office performs typing both during and after normal business operating hours.  The Outside Office does not charge extra if work is performed outside normal business hours, the hourly rate or per audio minute rate remains the same.  Medical Transcription is completed within 48 hours, however, try to aim within 24 hours of receiving dictation files.  Turnaround time for general transcription is also 48 hours for files under 60 audio/recorded minutes, except for transcription of interviews.  In regards to interviews, please email your requirements to info@theoutsideoffice.com.au for an estimation on a turnaround time.  If you require a faster turnaround time for urgent work to be completed, please contact The Outside Office.

Transcription Rates:

$27.00 per hour of transcription

$1.80 per audio (recorded) minute

Please note: It takes on average approximately 4 hours to transcribe 60 minutes of audio, or an hour to transcribe 15 audio minutes. The per audio minute rate is only available for straight-forward typing into a Word Document.

Equipment

Utilising Express Scribe playback software, The Outside Office has the capability to transcribe a large variety of digital files including, CDs, Mp3, MSV, wav, wma, dss files and more.  Send your files via mail or email, The Outside Office also uses a secure transferring system called Magic Vortex for large sized files.  Also remote access is available, for example The Outside Office can directly download files from your computer or type into a specialised medical software such as Medilink or Genie.  Please email your requirements to The Outside Office, happy to be flexible on method of delivery.
